The pistol portion of this course will cover in depth:
– The fundamentals of marksmanship
– The application of marksmanship per the intended target
– The draw: first round accuracy and speed
– Recoil Management
– Multiple Target Engagements
– Shooting and moving
– Engaging targets at extended ranges (pistol)
– Shooting from behind cover and unconventional positions
The carbine portion course will provide students with know how to employ their carbine with magnified optic to its fullest. The morning portion of the course is on the flat range where attendees will learn to handle and shoot their rifles in self-defense or for CQB ranges (~0-25m) and applications. In the afternoon, students will learn the fundamentals ballistics as it pertains the most common 5.56 rounds, as well positional shooting concept that will allow you to take your carbine to beyond what most think are its maximum capabilities. With steel targets from 200m-700m, students will be able to push their carbines beyond what many consider to be its maximum ranges.
Course Requirements
Pistol:
– Modern Semi-auto Handgun, subcompact or larger and 9mm or larger
– Modern Holster (OWB kydex is recommended)
– 4 Magazines
– 2 Magazine Holders/Pouches
– 400 Rounds of Ammunition
– Eye protection
– Ear protection (active, Peltor style highly recommended)
– Food and drinks for the day
– Appropriate clothing per the weather forecast
Carbine
AR or other semi auto carbine with LPVO or Red Dot with magnifier in 5.56 and larger calibers.
400 rounds
Sling (adjustable V-Tac style or comparable is recommended)
4 Magazines
2 Magazine holders (belt or chest rig)
Hearing Protection (electronic are highly recommended)
Bipod or forward support bag (3-day pack; etc.)
Shooting mat (a cheap yoga mat from Walmart will suffice)
Food and drink for the day
Appropriate clothing per the forecast
Refunds for courses are issued only if the cancellation or reschedule occurs per Capable Inc. inability to conduct the course. Reschedules due to weather or other circumstances outside Capable Inc. control will result in an issuance of credit towards another Capable Inc. course of equal pricing. No refunds will be issued for the cancellation on the part of the attendee/student, Course credit will be issued.
